If Ithan ever becomes a Rock Star, he has a certain nurse to thank.
On August 15, 2007 at 8:00am MDT, doctors pulled Ithan Ehren-Amadi Waddell from his shriveled womb during the second segment of a three-part surgical procedure. He was 5 weeks premature but already well-versed in hospital care.
16 weeks earlier he was nearly miscarried as a 4-inch long fetal life-form. It took a team of specialists, a touchy surgical procedure, a week-long stay in the hospital followed by 3 months of bed-rest, in order to head off the early arrival (and certain demise) of this ultimate survivor.
But that was just the Second Act. How Ithan ever came to be conceived is as much a Miracle as his battle to survive...
